Our Camp Director
This summer, we are pleased to welcome Scott Eckers to Carpathian Homes to lead the day camp. Scott brings with him extensive camp experience, having spent ten years as a camp administrator at a local day camp and two years as the camp director at a large bungalow colony camp. In addition, Scott has worked at sleepaway camps and brings a wealth of knowledge of camp programs and activities.
During the year, Scott is a social studies and reading teacher in the Syosset Central School District on Long Island. He is a certified school district administrator and works closely with the administration in his own school to implement quality educational and extracurricular programming in Syosset. Scott also leads the musical theater club, where he directs over 100 kids each year and puts on major theatrical performances.
Scott looks forward to meeting everyone at Carpathian Homes. He is glad to be back at a bungalow colony, having grown up himself in local colonies. With all the options for extravagent vacations available, he still believes that summering in the Catskills is the way to go!
