13 Music and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown Book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn Two Acts, Book Musical, Pop / Rock, Rated PG A grown-up story about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

We welcome singers, dancers, and actors from age ten and up to participate in our youth theater program's production of Jason Robert Brown's 13. This is a professional, non-equity production and auditions are necessary to join the cast. This show will be produced, directed, choreographed, and designed by experienced theater professionals and educators. All actors MUST be able to portray characters of junior high school age. Our cast will not be limited to thirteen performers, as in the Broadway production.

Teenage musicians are encouraged to contact us about playing in our teen pit band, which will be conducted by a professional musical director.

We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our programs support local charities, educational initiatives, and community theater. If cast, there will be a nominal fee for participation in this educational experience to help defray our very real costs.
